We are just months away the biggest event in this planet! I can't wait for the world cup to start. I had never the opportunity to be in one, but I haven't loss my faith either.. I barely remember Mexico 86, since I was a kid, but I remember everyone talking about Maradona back then. However I remember in detail Italy 90 and so on. and every since, the stadiums were one of the things I like the most about a world cup.

What a Player, My favorite as a right now, I believe he should be the player of the year. So young but so focus too. I am personally amazed by his control and how accurate he is. I believe he is committed with soccer, as star he has been able to separate his commercial name from the field. Unlike other players like Beckham or Ronaldo he is the same guy and his private life is not every day in the news... at least that's how I see it at the moment. Hope he remain the same for a while.

yes, I can't recall the last time I ever played soccer on the beach, I remember the feeling, the sound of the waves and the cold drink waiting on the sand!

None american has joined the Serie A in 10 years, well AC Milan has just got Oguchi Onyewu to sing a 3 year contract, I guess because of the US performance in the Confederations Cup. It is unexpected but, I believe this guy deserves it. He always keeps that low profile attitude, and remains focus in every game.

I must to admit that it was amazing the fan turn out. 80 000 people for a presentation! I like Ronaldo and I wish him the best with "Los Merengues". Although I still don't think they will be able to beat Barcelona. but it going to be fantastic to watch such games.
Anyway, as I said I hoping Ronaldo and Kaka to do really good in LA LIGA , They both are amazing players.

I don't think Asians were so exited about soccer not until Korea & Japan world cup in 2002, The nice huge stadiums and tech demos. It was just amazing. Every since I been watching their games and they have become pretty good ...

One of the biggest players I have ever seen. I had once the opportunity of watching play live. That was in Houston, TX. It was a Barcelona game Vs America. More than 70, 000 people. It was a great game. 4-4 was the score. But the real deal was to see Ronaldinho; everyone was waiting to see him play. At the moment he started to warm up., people went crazy taking pictures or getting as close as they possible could.

And I remember people were all over him, the game came second.

When he finally came in, it was all about him, everyone was waiting on him to perform his famous tricks, and he did.

So I must to admit, I really went to the stadium to see him play, like thousands there.

Now, that was august 2006, almost 3 years ago. And I can’t believe he’s not longer the same player. I believe he was Barcelona; he shouldn’t ever have move to Milan. Now he is barely playing, maybe 20 minute every 2 games.

I only wish him one more chance to shine. And say good bye to soccer as one of the biggest.

At least I will remember him as one. RESPECT Ronaldinho!

It looked awful for Brazil, since at the end of the first half, they were trailing an amazing USA by two. However after the 15 minutes meeting, Brazil players decided they were to get the cup. So they played for it. After 2 goals from Luis Fabiano and one header at the 84 minute by Lucio, gave the joga bonito, the title.

I can't not finish this comment without congratulate the americans for the amazing performance. Great game in my opinion.

They started losing, but Spain got the 3rd place after defeating Sud Africa in the overtime . This way Spain said good bye to the confedarations Tournament. In other hand I must recognize the great skills from sud african players, as of matter of fact, the amazing free shot that gave them the equalizer. I looking forward to a great 2010 world cup.

I must to say I wasn't expecting Spain to get beat !

Having cruised through their group without conceding a goal, Spain were looking to seal a 16th successive victory against a USA side that only scraped into the last four on goal difference thanks to a 3-0 success over Egypt on Sunday.

But USA produced an inspired performance against Vicente del Bosque's men and claimed a famous win courtesy of goals from Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey.

It was clear from the first few minutes that Spain would not have it all their own way as USA pressed forward and unsettled the European champions' passing rhythm with some tough tackling.

Charlie Davies almost opened the scoring with an acrobatic effort early on and headed another chance wide, while at the other end Fernando Torres volleyed wide from Cesc Fabregas' cross.

The deadlock was broken in the 27th minute when Altidore picked up a pass from Dempsey on the edge of the area and powerfully turned past Villarreal club-mate Joan Capdevila before driving a shot beyond Iker Casillas.

Dempsey glanced a header off target from Landon Donovan's excellent cross as USA went in search of a second, but Spain gradually grew into the game as half-time approached and Tim Howard was called into action to deny David Villa.

Howard made an even better save down to his left to stop Villa from equalising at the start of the second half as Spain increased the intensity of their attacks.

Spain were far from their best and struggled to create clear-cut opportunities, although Xavi was perhaps unlucky not to be awarded a penalty when he was barged over in the box by Donovan.

USA defended bravely as they sensed a historic result, with Jay DeMerit particularly impressive with a number of crucial blocks and interceptions.

Dempsey then gave USA a two-goal cushion in the 74th minute as he capitalised on Sergio Ramos' hesitancy following a swift counter-attack and slotted the ball home.

Michael Bradley was red carded in the closing stages for a foul on Xavi but USA held firm to set up a final on Sunday against either Brazil or hosts South Africa.

The player was questioned by officers as part of the investigation Cristiano Ronaldo will face no charges after crashing his Ferrari in a tunnel near Manchester Airport. The 24-year-old winger, who is set to join Real Madrid in an £80m deal, wrote off the £200,000 car when he crashed into a roadside barrier in January. The front edge of the red sports car was demolished and one of the wheels came off, but Ronaldo escaped unhurt. After investigating the incident and interviewing the forward, police have decided not to take action. The crash happened on the A538 Altrincham Road, between Wilmslow and Hale, Cheshire, at about 1020 GMT on 8 January. One of the wheels of the red Ferrari 599 GTB came off and ended up about 200 yards behind the crash scene. Ronaldo, who remains a Manchester United player pending his move, was interviewed at the scene and later provided a written statement. On Tuesday, a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesman said: "No further action will be taken against the driver of a Ferrari 599 GTB, which collided with a wall on the A538 Wilmslow Road on Thursday January 8. "No-one was injured and no other vehicles were involved in the incident." Manchester United announced last week they had accepted a world-record bid for the Portuguese winger. The United States are through to the Confederations Cup semi-finals at the expense of Italy courtesy of a 3-0 defeat of Egypt in their Group B tie. USA went into their final group game shy of confidence having lost their previous two qualifiers, but a night of upsets saw them progress as Italy went down 3-0 to Brazil in Sunday's other qualifier. Charlie Davies' 21st minute opener gave USA hope they could do the unthinkable and knock-out the world champions and so it proved in the second period as goals from Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey saw them through. Davies opener A long-throw from Jonathan Bornstein proved to be the architect of the US' opener as Essam Al-Hadari failed to gather in Egypt's box, with Davies on hand to steer home. The US could have doubled their advantage shortly after only for Al-Hadari's bravery to deny Landon Donovan. News of Brazil taking a 3-0 first half lead began to filter through to the players and the US were understandably buoyed by the Azzurri's struggles. At this stage Egypt were qualifying for the last four on goal difference; a situation they almost cemented on 39 minutes when Hosni Abd Rabbou hit the crossbar. After the interval and Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan needed to be at his smartest to repel Ahmed Abdelghani's effort. Brazil end Italy hopes

Brazil recorded an alarmingly comfortable 3-0 win over Italy in the Confederations Cup to send the Azzurri out of the competition.

The Italians' fate was sealed after USA defeated Egypt 3-0 in the other group game, to seal their place in the semi-finals at the expense of the world champions.

Luis Fabiano helped himself to two goals before Italy defender Andrea Dossena put through his own net to round off the score.

In what was billed as the tournament's showcase game Brazil effectively ended the clash as a contest at half-time, with all their goals coming in an eight minute spell at the end of the first half.

Italy manager Marcelo Lippi kept faith in the players who had helped him win the World Cup in 2006 with six players who had started the final in Germany starting on Sunday, with in-form Giuiseppe Rossi relegated to the bench.

However, despite a positive start, it seems that if the Italians are to stand any chance of regaining their crown next summer they will have to put their faith in the next generation.
